Solipsism and Morality

Solipsism undercuts morality

According to solipsism there is no God and  moral behavior would seem to be meaningless.
Since everything is apart of the solipsist  harming a phantom would be harming himself which could lead to negative consequences.
Secular humanism becomes irrelevant because there are no other people.
Since everyone is a phantasm mass genocide become OK.

Death to a Solipsist

Death

The person dies, but the solipsist himself is not dead. If somebody else dies, the supposed being who has supposedly "died" is only a phantom of the solipsist's imagination anyway, and the elimination of that phantom proves nothing.
For the solipsist, death can only ever be "the death of the other". He/she never believed in the existence of those other solipsists in the first place.
Because they were illusions to begin with. A character can be imagined but when they are not being imagined it's like they died—until they are imagined again. In the same sense an illusion can die and live after death in the same way that an image of imagination can be re-imagined

First use of Solipsism

First person to use Soli[psism
Gorgias of Leontini
Solipsism is first used by the presocratic sophist Georgias he stated in the  Roman skeptic Sextus Empiricus and it states
Nothing exists.
Even if something exists, nothing can be known about it.
Even if something could be known about it, knowledge about it can't be communicated to others.

Infant Solipsism

Infant Solipsism

Solipsism is so convincing that there is even a solipsism syndrome – therefore you could actually suffer from solipsism. If you’re not afraid to start doubting in others’ existence, continue reading…
Think about your childhood. What’s your first memory? Most people can trace their memories back to the time they were about 3 or 4 years old. You probably can’t remember from your own experience what had happened before your 3rd  birthday or even if you are it’s almost impossible to have any memories before 2nd birthday. How can you know what had happened before then?

Metaphysical Solipsism

MetaPhysical Solipsism

Metaphysical solipsism is the "strongest" variety of solipsism. Metaphysical solipist believe that self is the only existing reality and that all other reality, including the external world and other persons, are representations of that self, and have no independent existence.

This would mean that there is no God or higher being which means that all religions are wrong and life is still pointless. There is no after life if you believe in solipsism. If there was only one human left on the planet he would be a solipsist because there is only him.

Solipsism

 Solipsism

a theory holding that the self can know nothing but its own modifications and that the self is the only existent thing; also: extreme egocentrism
Latin solus alone + ipse self
First Known Use: 1874

Solipsism is the idea that the only thing that is true is your mind. Since no one else exists does that mean that what Hitler did was ok cause they were not real people. Since no one exists doing all this work is pointless and life has no meaning. Imagine if everyone believed in Solipsism the world would turn into Grand Theft Auto.
